As a pearl is made up of layers, our few years are layers built upon a unique vision that began by me.

In size, shape and colour, pearls exist in a stunning diversity of forms. Likewise, we are each a rare treasure.

Working together we resemble a string of pearls, connected by a common purpose and commitment to arts, culture and education in the African community.

One of the most distinctive features of a pearl is its luminosity and the way it seems to glow from within. This radiance is a caused by reflection; similarly, the work of Arts 4 survival reflects the extraordinary commitment of our members and sponsors, and our international network of affiliates and participants.

The scope of the organisation’s work is immense, reaching people of all ages and abilities across the globe. Still, our mission remains simple – is an international voluntary initiative with a purpose of furthering interdisciplinary, multicultural, and creative approach in social change, and facilitating creative sector and stakeholders of development together empower socially and economically disadvantaged individuals and African communities worldwide, particularly children, youth, and women.
