SCHOOL BUILDING AND ELEPHANT CONSERVATION
A LOCAL POOLE AMBITION TO SERVE
Hello!!
My name is Shannon Lilley. I’m 15 years old and I live in Poole town centre.

I go to Poole High School and I’m in year 11, now studying for my GCSE’s, which include Maths, Triple Science, English, French, Geography and Religious Education. I also attend college one day a week where I am doing an engineering course.

I am also a member of Parkstone Sea Cadets and my rank is an able cadet. I love kayaking and sailing and I am training for the first level of BSAC Open Water Diving qualification. When I finish school I would like to be in the Royal Navy as a marine engineer.

I heard about Camp International at my school. I thought it would be amazing to enable less fortunate children to get a better education and a better life, by joining Camp International and going to Kenya, to help a community build a school.

I will also be helping with conservation at Mwaluganje Elephant Sanctuary and the Tsavo national park.

Also included in this trip is a chance to learn the fundamentals of scuba diving by taking a PADI Open Water Diving Course.

To enable me to join this venture I have to raise £3000.

I have a part time job at an oriental restaurant, as a waitress and kitchen assistant. I have done a couple of car boot sales and so far a sponsored silence. Next month I am also going to do a sponsored walk.

I am happy to baby-sit, do dog walking, car washing, light household chores and help at parties, in order to raise these funds.

Is there anyone in your group who could use any of these services for a reasonable fee, or anyone who would like to sponsor me on any of my fundraising events.
