ANOTHER SUCCESS FOR UNITY IN VISION

Over 80 people from across the county joined Unity in Vision members for their Sari
and Curry evening in October. The evening was designed with the aim of bridging cultures by offering a wide audience a chance to celebrate Black History Month, whilst also enjoying an Asian meal.

There was something for everyone with African and Indian dance from Zmovements and Thara and Maya, a viewing of artworks by Rania Algamal (see Pulse Autumn '09) and pictureSam Johnson, Diversity Officer at Bournemouth Council spoke of his experiences. All this plus glorious food, and a chance to dress up and have henna hand decorations.

This has been a busy year for Unity in Vision, from March's international Women's Day event, the 2nd AGM and an end of July picnic in Swanage. Congratulations are also due to one of the organisers, Rita Satti El-Gazali who recently gave birth to a gorgeous baby boy.
